Property Incentive Co., Ltd. was intended to act as the Thai nominee buying the real property on behalf of the foreigner. This solution was simply the copy of the opportunity granted by Elite Card Co., Ltd., a privilege among others offered by the Tourist Authority of Thailand (being the main shareholder of Elite Card Co., Ltd.), although not restricted to the holders of the expensive and prestigeous Elite-Card. Meanwhile, Elite Card Co., Ltd. has tacitly abandoned this specific service. Some law offices in Bangkok argued the termination of this opportunity is the consequence of the many objections that the acquisition of real property by foreigners interposing nominees may conflict with the law.
